Pavlos Peppas graduated from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, at the University of Patras  in 1988. He received his PhD from the University of Sydney in 1994, with a dissertation on issues related to Knowledge Representation and Logic. Between 1993-1999 he was employed at Macquarie University, initially as a Lecturer and then as a Senior Lecturer. He later worked in industry (Intrasoft, Athens), and subsequently at AIT (Athens Information Technology) as a Senior Scientist. He joined the University of Patras as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration in 2003, and was promoted to a Professor in 2013 in the same department. In 2021 he moved to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In parallel to his position at the University of Patras, for a number of years he also held a seasonal appointment as a Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. His research interests lie within the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on the field of Knowledge Representation and Logic, in which he has been working for more than 30 years. He has published numerous scientific articles in international journals and conferences, he has been involved with the organizing of top conferences like IJCAI, AAAI, ECAI, KR, etc., in various roles (PC member, Senior PC member, Local Arrangement Chair, Area Chair),  and since 2021 he is a member of the Steering Committee of Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Incorporated (KR Inc.). Pavlos Peppas collaborates closely with researchers in Australia, Europe, and Canada.
