• Specialized course in the scientific area of wireless telecommunication networks.
• Optional course according to the philosophy of the Sector Telecommunications & Information Technology, of the Dept. of Electrical & Computer Engineering.
• New engineering skills are developed.

PREREQUISITE COURSES:

The theory of the following courses is considered prerequisite:

·     Wireless Propagation (ECE_Α8051) (7 semester).

·     Electromagnetic Fields (Main Course).

(It is noted that all the involved technical parameters are explained during the course.)

Basic antenna concepts, point sources, arrays of point sources, the electric dipole and thin linear antennas, the loop antenna, the helical antenna, the biconical antenna, the cylindrical antenna and the moment method, self and mutual impendences, arrays of dipoles and its apertures, reflector antennas and their feed systems, slot, horn and complementary antennas, lens antennas, antennas measurements, antennae applications

TEACHING METHODS

The manner and methods of teaching are described in detail.

Lectures, seminars, laboratory practice, fieldwork, study and analysis of bibliography, tutorials, placements, clinical practice, art workshop, interactive teaching, educational visits, project, essay writing, artistic creativity, etc.

The student's study hours for each learning activity are given as well as the hours of non-directed study according to the principles of the ECTS
