Awards

The researchers of the Wireless Telecommunications Laboratory of our Department Ioannis Papapanagiotou, Dr. Georgios Paschos and Prof. Stavros Kotsopoulos received the PMQRS best paper award in the frame of the IEEE Globecom'07 Conference for their paper Extension and Comparison of QoS-Enabled Wi-Fi Models in the Presence of Errors.

The paper "A Printed Circuit Switched Array Antenna for Indoor Communications" which is published by the members of Department Antonis Kalis , postgraduate student, Theodoros Antwnakopoylos , Assistant Professor and Vasilios Makios , Professor, received the 2nd reward Chester Sall Award for the best publications in the IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics for 2000 . The Profesor Vasilios Makios will receive the reward on 20 June 2001 in the ICCE'2001 Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles.

The JEEE Circuits and Systems Society granted the reward Guillemin-Cauer in the Dr. Vasilis Paliouras and the professor Thanos Stouraitis for their work Multifunction Architectures for RNS Processors , that was published in the periodical IEEE Transactions being Circuits and Systems, Part II: Analog and Digital Signal Processing, vol. 46, no. 8, pp. 1041-1054, August 1999.
