Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical Engineering was established in 1967 as the first department of the University of Patras, with V.D.546/1967. Renamed as the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with PD 94 of 03.29.1995.
The UoP E.C.E Department is training scientists engineers engaged in the design and manufacture of systems for the generation, transmission, distribution, storage, processing, control and use of energy and information. It covers educational and research areas of Electricity, Telecommunication and Information Technology, Electronics and Computer Systems and Control, as described in detail in the individual activities of the Sections.
